Divided Kingdom
01:37
|
|||
Your Britain that you speak of - your so called UNITED kingdom
It was made by these people
These people
By THEM
Your Britain that you speak of it’s days are done
‘Cause of people like you and what you’ve become
The way you speak with our mothers tongue
“THESE” and “THEM”
Are words I condemn
Oh what a great, Great Britain
United it may read
But divided is our kingdom
oh what a great, Great Britain.

The Trip
04:16
|
|||
It started with a trip on the train with his mother,
When it stopped they said their goodbye then he told her that he loved her,
Then he took another trip to Paris,
But the trip was not a trip,
It was more of a fall,
Not a fall which would land him in love,
In the city where you fall in love,
A fall which would land her in a coma,
Where she would stay.
Then he took another trip
But he knew there weren’t a single switch he could trip to turn her body back on
She was gone.
At least in her head
For the next hour or more he sat by her bed,
Watching the colour run from her face
as she slowly slips away.
it’s just like a word can have so many meanings
She had so many meanings to me.

Iora
05:05
|
|||
We sat in the dock
When the white cliffs of Dover
They came crashing down
Soon we would drown
Our hearts they would sink
Our Eyes they would leak
Water against the cheek
As we try to remember how she would speak
Hanging on to every sound
To every pound
That she gave to me
I’d give it all back
A pound for a pound.
I sat in a black car
Where I was driven to a hole smaller than the one that she left in my life
Surrounded by flowers spelling
Mother, Nan and wife
Then I cry Oh why
My auntie she could not reply
For there is no right answer
Science is telling me to look down
Jesus is telling me to look up
And everything in between just don’t understand
If I stop believing in god
Then I stop believing in her
